(the code number on the packaging indicates the location
and is mandatory)

in the Organic Lassis)
These controls are not limited to Germany.
The EEC-Eco regulations apply to the whole of the European
Union and assure a uniform Eco quality.
Organic food from non-EU countries (so called third countries)
may be imported only if manufactured according to equivalent
production, processing and oversight regulations which protect
against abuse and offer consumers the greatest possible security.
The responsible authorities in the European Union ensure
these regulations for third countries and supervise their
observance. Imports in Germany are also examined at German
checkpoints.
